Burnaby Village Museum, British Columbia

David is passionate about village museums.  We've visited several in the US and he just cannot avoid visiting this one in British Columbia.  Here we are at the Burnaby Village Museum.

The school teacher for 38 years waiting for his pupils.

An old British classroom.

Waiting for our ride by the dry good store.

 Another pre-Project Runway store.

It was an exhausting ride.  Took us about 3 minutes around the main village.

Our favorite part of the day.

We watched old movies in the theatre.

Our printer told us valuable information about the history of printing, like a lot of people have lost their fingers to this machine.  Also, one had to be certified to be able to work in the printshop in the past.

 The Chinese pharmacy.

 Their train museum.

Butchart Gardens

We visited Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia which is near Victoria, BC over the summer last year.

David has been planning to plant a little tree or bush in front of his house.
He wants it to be like this one.

I have a plant like this one back home - the trumpet plant.

David cannot contain his admiration over the blue hydrangea.
He has been looking for one at the public market to plant in front of his house.

I love the sunflowers.  They tower over me.

The path leading to the rose and Japanese gardens.

David finding his zen.

The bridge of love.

At the French-style garden.

 The magnificent sunken garden.
