On Board the Double Decker

Dining at Old Alexandria

Hard Times Cafe is a popular restaurant in King St. (known as Old Alexandria), but people seemed to shy away from the afternoon sun when we were there. Inside the place was packed with people, but being New Yorkers David and I decided to dine outside. It was just like dining at Pittsford Plaza or Park Ave. where you can see people walking around, looking at shops or people. Old Alexandria is a high-end area where small, rustic shops, esp. antique shops, mushroom. As with other areas in Washington DC you need to find a place to park.

World War II Memorial

National Cathedral, Washington DC

The National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

The main altar.

Choir members sit at the far left near the entrance to the altar while the parishioners take most of the seat where they lead the reading of church program.

Some parishioners and the choir sit near the altar separate from the other churchgoers.

Would you believe that this pitcher plant was from the Philippines? I couldn't believe it either.

The magic poso.

Union Station, Washington DC

To David it's "Union Square". Much to the confusion of a construction worker whom David asked for direction (the station, where we parked our car for the day to take the double decker ride tour around Washington, actually was just down the road). David even laughed at himself after catching his fault. Union Square is afterall in Brockport. It's Union Station.

The restaurant in the building where we ate lunch or was it dinner.

The boy in the background kept on saying that he's tired of people asking for his autograph. Hmmm.
