Butchart Gardens

We visited Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia which is near Victoria, BC over the summer last year.

David has been planning to plant a little tree or bush in front of his house.
He wants it to be like this one.

I have a plant like this one back home - the trumpet plant.

David cannot contain his admiration over the blue hydrangea.
He has been looking for one at the public market to plant in front of his house.

I love the sunflowers.  They tower over me.

The path leading to the rose and Japanese gardens.

David finding his zen.

The bridge of love.

At the French-style garden.

 The magnificent sunken garden.

David at the entrance of the park.

Craigdarroch Castle, Victoria BC

Craigdarroch Castle is a magnificent Victorian-type castle in Victoria, British Columbia.

David is planning to build a house like this one if the stock exchange rates
go up and up and up.

There's my craft room!

Sarah Palin was here?

Pre-Project Runway era. Look at those pedals!

In the ballroom.

A Trip to Victoria, BC

Mt. Rainier

Mt. Rainier in its glory!

David enjoying the beauty of nature and fresh air.

I enjoyed this trip a lot!

We're almost there, David. Where's the escalator?

 Another scenic view!

Sometimes a man must take a rest and enjoy nature's bounty.

 The lodge/restaurant.

David  finds comfort in his throne.

 The lobby.

 The restaurant.

We both had cheese steak with au jus. Our waiter was a fine young student from Europe.
