Library of Congress

The congressman's letter indicated no cameras are allowed inside the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Too bad for us; we believed it's true. When we arrived at the site, after getting lost after turning at a wrong Exit again (we ended up in another section of DC across the bridge), people were taking pictures of the interior art decos. We were disappointed. However, we deligently went with the tour around the place before heading to the Capitol for another tour. The following pictures were taken after we finished the Capitol tour, running to our car to grab the camera. And oh, I got my Library of Congress reader's card the same day.

Tour guide (on a painting with a lady with exposed breasts): "... as you can see she lost her garments somewhere, but let's us not worry about that."

"... Nike paid this lady (with wings) $500 for borrowing the idea from her wings (the swoosh), and that's it."

The Library of Congress was the first building to have electricity.
