Poster Boy

It was one of those days when you are in a building delivering something when you look at the bulletin board and see a poster.  Upon closer inspection you find yourself gasping - you see your face on the poster for the promotion of the school.  And you didn't even know it.  That what happened to me last week when we went to administration building to deliver stuff to the college president's office.  We were waiting for the elevator when my eyes wandered to the bulletin board.  I noticed a familiar face on the poster. Upon closer inspection I found out that it was me on the picture. It was taken about two years ago at the honors and awards ceremony.  I was shaking the college president's hand. Afterwards, I showed David the said poster.

Now I want a copy of that poster so I could send one home.

Earthquake in Rochester!

David and I just felt the ground shaking.  It's an earthquake!

I was watching videos on Youtube when I felt my chair being rocked.  I thought it was the computer having some trouble so I moved my chair  away from the desk, but I was perplexed that the shaking continued.  David was on his chair watching TV.  Then I informed him that we may be having an earthequake.  We heard the glass door of his cabinet shaking.  That was when I told him we should get out of the house.

Reports said that it was a 5.5 magnitude earthquake originating from Potsdam, NY, but it was felt all over the Northeast.  No damages were reported at this time.  Twitter reports about the earthquake just keep filling in.

Lesson learned:  Never wear your birthday suit when you're in the house.  You'll never know when an earthquake will strike. And keep a box of wine near you, it'll help you cope with the situation.  Believe me, I've learned from Maggie Griffin.
