On a Sunday afternoon, David and I went out to Childs, New York to eat out at Tillman's Restaurant. It was a gorgeous day, David was so excited about going out to eat and wander around unknown regions of New York. It was also one of those days when I could show David my superb driving skills (you know, the drive-and-stop stuff like what Maggie Griffin said when Kathy gifted her with an old folk's scooter). On our way we stopped at Hurd Orchards in Holley, New York. Hurd is a cute little place - posh and dusty. It is one of those places out in the county where dust is an essential part of social status. You can sniff the many fragrant soaps and candles, and sneeze afterwards - well, it would be a posh sneeze anyhow. And you know David, he likes going out to these old barns with homey atmosphere, but he wouldn't live out in the county ("I will stay wherever I am now. It is closer to everything, especially Wegman's").
Hurd is a quaint shop/restaurant. You can have your wedding reception there or enjoy the nice view of the farm while sipping your coffee or tea.
